Young Living Slique

Slique Essence combines powerful, aromatic essential oils of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, spearmint, and ocotea with stevia extract into a unique blend that naturally supports healthy weight management goals. These ingredients work together to activate olfactory receptors and may help supress appetite and hunger between our during meals.  Just add a couple drops to your favorite beverage or water!  Let me know if you would like additional information on Young Living essential oils!

Black Bean and Avocado Salsa

This was a simple yummy salsa.  I basically just took the ingredients that I had and combined them, and it sure turned out great!

1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 avocado, chopped
1 cup chopped white onion
1 cup chopped tomato
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (I just used cilantro paste)
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/8 teaspoon pepper

And enjoy!
We had it both as a topper for our baked potato (super healthy replacement for butter and sour cream here) and also with chips.

My first ever From Scratch LEMON MERENGUE PIE

This pie was so much easier to make than I thought it would be! Thanks to this fabulous recipe and great instructions that I found here! I was always afraid to make one because I had heard how difficult it was and how many things can go wrong...but not anymore!

A Little Bit of Spring Inspirations

I thought that a couple of cute spring ideas might be perfect right now.
This cute birds nest idea comes from a blog by Sarah Ortega.
I imagine that the eggs could be made with beads or polymer clay.
What a cute spring idea!

And Bonnie McLain published this adorable spring tag.  Such creativity!
This would make a fabulous gift tag for a planted spring flower.  Very creative!

HAPPY SPRING!

Shabby Chic Style Greeting Card

This was a fun Shabby Chic style card to make.  I just started grabbing a bunch of odd left overs that I had laying around and started layering.  If you like the look of something, it's probably your "style".  If you keep saving your leftovers, they probably "go together" well!  I love the look of lots of layers too!  Enjoy yourself and happy scrappin'!
